Longitudinal Analysis is a type of analysis on a TM, where, instead of analyzing the TM based on its direct forward behavior, the TM is analyzed cell by cell, starting from one side and analyzing each cell towards the other side. So far, this type of analysis is only effective if we know ahead of time what state is going to meet any cell from one of the two directions.
